Don Burgess

Director of Technical Services, Agronomist

At A&L Great Lakes, we purposefully look for team members with diverse work backgrounds and experience so that we can offer our customers the wide range of expertise they need to make their best decisions. Before coming to A&L Great Lakes in 2009, Don Burgess was a soil scientist with the federal government, where he was responsible for maintaining and updating soil survey information for a multi-state area. This experience gave him an acute understanding of the different kinds of soils and soil reactions that occur throughout our region. 

Don is originally from Mount Vernon, Ohio, where he was active in 4-H and FFA. He attended The Ohio State University where he received a B.S. in Crop Science and a M.S. in Soil Science. He is also a CPAg, CCA, CPSS, and CPSC.
