We have been working towards the development of a client portal that will allow more direct access to the lab using your email and a single password. While the ALGL Client Portal has been available on the website for some time with limited functionality, we are pleased to announce that the ALGL Client Portal is ready for use and available on our website in the main menu and at https://portal.algreatlakes.com.
The legacy eDocs was account based, anyone with knowledge of the lab business account number could access the data. Within the new ALGL Client Portal, only those emails that receive data files, PDF reports, and invoices from a lab business account have been preloaded and can create a password to sign in. Instructions for initial sign in are available at the end of this email. Additional emails to access the portal can be added, or removed, by those users that have administration rights for a given lab business account. Changes made within the ALGL Client Portal are not transferred to the lab business account. Please contact the lab to modify data flow or edit emails that are to receive information directly from the lab.
Within the ALGL Client Portal you will find an updated version of eDocs with improved search capabilities. eDocs now utilizes a single search box for all searchable parameters. If your email is associated with more than one account, all of the accounts are included in the search. This new version of eDocs will be the main platform moving forward and the previous eDocs system will sunset May 31, 2025.
Those users that receive invoices by email will have the ability to access previous invoices, view open invoices, and pay invoices by credit card. Information about making ACH payments is also available in the portal.
New to the ALGL Client Portal is the ability to print UPS shipping labels. While we will continue to provide preprinted self-adhesive UPS labels as in the past, you can now print your own as needed.
The store experience of ordering shipping and sample supplies has been simplified. Supplies ordered will be billed directly to your account, or the account you specify if you have access to more than one account. After you enter your shipping information the first time it is retained within the system for your next order. In the near future those shipping and sampling supplies that are only applicable to clients with a lab business account will not be available on our public web store.
Rather than using the SoilTrak computer program, you can create sample submission forms and bag labels with eSubmittal. eSubmittal can prepopulate the grower/farm/field from previous reports within eDocs. While SoilTrak will continue to function for the near term, eSubmittal will be the supported platform moving to the future.
